Local Scouts work on golfing merit badge

Several Scouts of Breckenridge’s Troop 63 were at the Breckenridge Country Club recently, working on their Golf Merit Badge.
According to the Scouting America website, in order to earn the merit badge, the Scouts need to study safety on the golf course and show that they know first aid for a variety of injuries or illnesses, such as lightning, heat reactions, blisters, animal or bug bites, sprains, strains, and more, as well as demonstrate their knowledge about and their skills in either traditional golf or disc golf.
Through the Scouting America program, Breckenridge has both Cub Scout packs (ages kindergarten through fifth grade) and Scouts BSA troops for both boys and girls (ages 11-17). For more details about the local Scout troops, click here.
