Tommy Keese

Thomas Clayton Keese (Tommy), 73, of Albany, Texas, passed away on July 14, 2025. His funeral service at Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories will be held on Thursday, July 17, beginning at 1 p.m., officiated by Andy Channer. Visitation will be 12-12:45 p.m. before the service.
Born on May 21, 1952, in Monahans, Texas, to Grace and Oliver Andrew Keese. He was the football star of Junction High School and began his journey working in the oil field on weekends at the age of 14. He spent his career working his way up in the oil field. He worked hard and was dedicated to any job or position he was in. When he wasn’t working in the oil field, he was a pipefitter.
After retiring, he took a position with A.L. Helmcamp as an Operator/Traffic Control Technician. His boss said, “Honorary Foreman because he kept everyone lined out.”
He loved hunting and fishing. He was very talented and known for his beautiful drawings and woodwork. He loved his garden with beautiful flowers, and his love for Texas was bigger than the state itself. He was married to Tammie for over 20 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and son, with a deep love that you can never put into words.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Tammie Keese; his sons, Kris Keese and wife Keisha Keese, J.R. Hill, and Britton Hill; daughters, Dioyn Ivy and husband Glen Ivy, and Clasha Keese; grandsons, Isaiah Keese and wife Lashonna Keese, Cameron Keese, Colton Keese, Romney Hill, and Britton Jr. Hill; granddaughter, Shavonna Miller; great-grandbabies, Alexander Neeley, Luna Keese-Kyzar, and Zekai Keese.
A special thanks to the entire staff of Hendrick Cancer Center and Hendrick Hospice Care for the outstanding services and care provided. A very special thank you to A.L. Helmcamp and Tommy’s crew for all they have done. His crew was not just his crew, but became his children as well. Thank you for shutting your crew down to be with us through the funeral process. You guys are loved and very much appreciated.
