George Credicott, 80, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on July 11, 2025. His funeral service at Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories will be held on Tuesday, July 15, beginning at 10 a.m., with JB Sparks officiating. The family will welcome friends for a visitation at Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories from Tuesday, July 15, beginning at 9 a.m.

Born on January 14, 1945, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to Virginia and George Credicott. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1963. He served three years in the U.S. Army. He received his teaching credentials from Texas A&M University. He taught Vocational Machine Shop and Welding at Alice High School for four years and again at Abilene High School for 26 years. His students won numerous awards for their skills, and many of them are still employed in the vocations he taught them. He retired from teaching in 2001.

He married Judy Allison in 1968, and they remained married until his death. He was an avid bass fisherman and a member and officer of the Breckenridge Bass Club. He was a devoted husband, father, and son with unlimited patience and understanding.

George is survived by his wife Judy; his sons, Edward Andrew and wife Kathy, and Christopher George and wife Shellie; his two grandsons, Cooper and Nicholas and wife Rebecca; and two granddaughters, Noelle and Regan and husband, Justin.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter Kaitlin and his parents, George and Virginia Credicott, and his brother Charles Credicott.

Burial will be held at Breckenridge Cemetery in a private family service at his request. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, the First Presbyterian Church, or the donor’s favorite charity. Condolences can be left at meltonkitchens.com.
