Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce to hold 10k run to raise funds for drone show

The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce is holding a 10k Run and Walk on Saturday, June 21, to raise funds for the drone show they are planning for this year’s Boomfest event.
The 10k is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. June 21 at 201 Old Caddo Road in the Breckenridge City Park. It was originally scheduled for June 14 but was postponed due to bad weather.
However, due to recent and forecast rains, the Chamber posted on Facebook today that they are watching the weather and the route for the race. If the route is too muddy to safely run or walk, they will have to push it back one week.
The prizes include:
- 1-hour hot stone massage at Spa Meraki
- 1-hour massage at Halo Cosmetics
- 1-hours IV hydration session at Rhaine Med Spa
The entry fee, which includes a t-shirt, is $30 plus a $2 registration fee. Click here to register online.
This year, the Chamber has decided to celebrate the annual Boomfest Independence Day event with a professional drone show, rather than a fireworks show, on Saturday, July 5. The 10k will raise funds for the drone show and other activities for the event.
