Danny Loftis
Danny Loftis, age 59, of Breckenridge, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, at Morehart Mortuary Chapel. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Alfred Daniel Loftis was born April 30, 1965, in Graham, Texas, to parents Alfred Jefferson “Jeff” Loftis and Pearl Elizabeth Polson Loftis. Danny worked for the Brazos River Authority for many years in maintenance. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was often found eating at Ernie’s. He also loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his good friend, Ector Gomez, and aggravating his two Jack Russell Terriers, Ginger and Toby.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Curtis; and one sister-in-law, DeeAnna Loftis.
He is survived by his two daughters, Cara Tinker and husband Jonathan, and Amy Cortez and husband Brandon, all of Breckenridge; one brother, David Loftis of Breckenridge; five grandchildren, Aubrye Cortez, Branson Cortez, Bennett Cortez, Madison Tinker, and Sheppard Cortez; his niece and nephews, James Curtis and wife Kaylee, Jeannie Karl and husband Darren, and Chris Curtis; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
