Fire causes heavy damage to Breckenridge home Sunday night

A structure fire destroyed the interior of a North Breckenridge home Sunday night, according to fire officials.
Fire crews responded to the blaze in the 700 block of North Oakwood Street shortly before 9 p.m. March 30. No injuries were reported, and no one was home at the time of the fire, officials said.
Breckenridge Fire Captain Jose Garcia said the fire caused significant interior damage. He said the exact cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time, but that an electrical problem is suspected.
The Breckenridge Fire Department and the Hubbard Creek Volunteer Fire Department, along with the Breckenridge Police Department, Stephens County Sheriff’s Department, and Sacred Cross Emergency Services, responded to the scene.
