Mary Waldrop Land went to meet her Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the age of 90. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Morehart Mortuary Chapel.

She was born on July 16, 1934, in Breckenridge, Texas. She was the sixth of seven children born to Jewel G. Rylee Williamson and William Dewey Williamson. She was a lifelong resident of Breckenridge and had a long career in the health profession in Breckenridge. She worked for more than 35 years in the office of Dr. T. C. Ford as a lab and x-ray technician. After his retirement she worked in the lab at Stephens Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2016 at the age of 83. She enjoyed spending time with her family and keeping up with activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan and never missed watching a Texas Longhorn or Dallas Cowboys football game.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Glen Edward Waldrop: her first husband Bob E. Waldrop, and her second husband, Glenn Merrell Land; three sisters, Lela Mae Wright, Billy Ruth Kimbrough, and Betty June Pierce; two brothers J.D. (Wimpy) Williamson and Bobby Glenn Williamson: and one grandaughter, Ashley Rene Waldrop.

She is survived by two sons, Ron Waldrop and wife Diane of Sherman, Texas, and Tracey Waldrop of Breckenridge, Texas; and by one sister, Jackie Dickey and husband Kent Dickey of Mentor, Ohio; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or to American Diabetes Association and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at morehartmortuary.net.
