District Attorney’s office announces list of plea deals for December, January

The 90th Judicial District Attorney’s Office recently released the following lists of cases that were pleaded in December 2024 and January 2025.

December 2024 plea deals in the 90th Judicial Court:

  • Joshua Simental, 19, of Levelland, pleaded true to the violations alleged in the State’s Motion to Proceed to Adjudicate Community Supervision for the offense of Assault Family/Household Member – Impede Breath or Circulation, and was sentenced to five years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division (TDCJ-ID) and was ordered to pay remaining court cost.
  • Dillon Laen Diaz, 28, of Breckenridge, pleaded true to the violations alleged in the State’s Motion to Adjudicate Community Supervision for the offense of Abandon or Endanger Child – Criminal Negligence, and was sentenced to 20 months confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – State Jail Division (TDCJ-SJ), and was ordered to pay remaining court cost; and pleaded true to the violations alleged in the State’s Motion to Adjudicate Community Supervision for the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram – Methamphetamine, and was sentenced to 20 months confinement in the TDCJ-SJ, and was ordered to pay remaining court cost.
  • Jennifer Renee McCormick, 43, of Breckenridge, pleaded true to the violations alleged in the State’s Motion to Adjudicate Community Supervision for the offense of Injury to Child – Reckless Bodily Injury, and was sentenced to 12 months confinement in the TDCJ-SJ, and was ordered to pay remaining court cost.
  • Francisco Leal, 51, of Orla, pleaded guilty to the offense of Assault Family Member – Impeded Breath/Circulation with Previous Conviction, and was sentenced to four years Community Supervision and was ordered to pay $1,500 fine and court cost.

January 2025 plea deals in the 90th Judicial Court:

  • Bradley Warren Steffan, 51, of Llano and Breckenridge, pleaded true to the violations alleged in the State’s Motion to Proceed to Adjudicate for the offense of Sex Abuse of Child Continuous: Victim Under 14, and was sentenced to 25 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division (TDCJ-ID), and was ordered to pay remaining court cost.
  • Terry Jack Woodruff, 64, of Graham, pleaded guilty to the offense of Sexual Assault of Child – Lesser Included Offense, and was sentenced to 10 years Community Supervision, and was ordered to pay $2,000 fine and court cost.
  • Erica Nicole Robertson-Taylor, 33, of Round Rock, pleaded guilty to the offense of Abandon/Endanger Child Intentionally/Knowingly/Recklessly/Criminal Negligence, and was sentenced to four years Community Supervision, and was ordered to pay $1,500 fine and court cost.
  • Scotty Judson Reynolds, 43, of Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Member – Lesser Included Offense, and was sentenced to two years Community Supervision, and was ordered to pay court cost; and pleaded guilty to the offense of Resisting Arrest/Search/or Transport – Lesser Included Offense, and was sentenced to two year Community Supervision and was ordered to pay $1,500 fine and court cost.
