Judy Collinsworth

Judy (Julia Beth) Agnew Collinsworth, loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and Granna, passed away January 9, 2025. Judy was born to Alfred and Vida Agnew on February 12, 1942. She grew up in Moran, where she graduated from MHS in 1960 after marrying her high school sweetheart, John Wilson Collinsworth, in 1959. They enjoyed a loving and fulfilling life together. In 1961 and 1964, Judy and John welcomed their two sons, Jamey and Rodney. Judy nurtured and loved her boys, enjoying being a stay-at-home mom. Later, Judy began her career at Moran National Bank, later retiring from First National Bank of Albany in 2012, where she gave a beautiful smile and welcome to many customers.
Judy was an amazing artist, specializing in acrylic, oils and pastels, many of which can be found throughout New Mexico and Texas. Judy spent many hours painting her signature Texas bluebonnets and wildflowers for customers, friends and family.
Judy and her family had the most fun times “winning” at the casino, fishing, and beach combing. Judy, lovingly called Granna, spent many hours during the summer entertaining her grandchildren, filling endless water balloons, playing hours of Atari and Nintendo, and ordering pizza for dinner.
Judy had the special gift of being a loving and fun mother-in-law to Charlotte and Brenda. She was a kind and beautiful soul whose presence on this earth blessed all who knew her.
Judy’s passing will leave an incredible void in the life of John, her husband of 65 years. She will be greatly missed by son and daughter-in-law, Jamey and Charlotte Collinsworth of Yoakum; grandson Rifle and wife Brooke Collinsworth and children Ruger and Boone of Monahans; grandson Ryder and wife Jordan Collinsworth, also of Monahans; her son Rodney and daughter-in-law Brenda Collinsworth of Moran; granddaughter Cindy Birdwell Walsh and husband Craig, children Branson and Jarrett of Ovalo; grandson Jason and wife Megan Cunningham and Rhyder of Midland. Also left to cherish are brother-in-law, Sid Collinsworth and wife Kathey; sister-in-law Jeanette Strickland and Donald; along with numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
