Jesse Amason
Jesse Frank Amason, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on December 21, 2024. His Memorial service at Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories will be held on Thursday, January 2, beginning at 2 p.m. with JB Sparks officiating.
Born on December 4, 1936, to Bill and Vina Amason. Jesse was from Eolian, Texas, a small community southwest of Breckenridge. He was also the cherished brother of Lon L.
From an early age, Jesse developed lasting friendships, particularly with his dearest friends, Louis Trammell and Nancy Morales. After completing high school, Jesse proudly joined the Texas National Guard, swiftly rising to the rank of sergeant. In this role, he demonstrated leadership and dedication, training service members in tank operations.
Jesse’s life was enriched by his marriage to Latricia Byford. Their union was marked by many adventurous years as they traveled from town to town, where Jesse founded numerous photo-finishing labs. Together, they were blessed with three children: Robin Jessica, Laurie Latina, and Jason Carlyle Amason.
His legacy continues through his three grandchildren, Tiffani, Jesse Dylan, and Dusty Amason, who brought immense joy to his life. Jesse’s love for hunting, fishing, and traveling reflected his zest for life, and he passionately shared these hobbies with his family.
A man of integrity and warmth, Jesse was admired by many and cherished as a great father and a formidable man. His kindness, wisdom, and adventurous spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Jesse’s life will be celebrated in a private memorial service with close family and friends on January 2, 2025.
Jesse will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
