Leeland Guy Couger, 66, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Dec. 5, 2024. Lee did not want a traditional funeral, so a celebration of life will be held on April 5, 2025, at Truman’s Drive Thru and Cantina.

Lee was born on July 10, 1958, to parents Guy and Joan Couger. He grew up in Breckenridge and graduated from BHS before enrolling in the military. Lee loved to ride bulls and drink beer. His bull riding was cut short due to a couple of rank ones and getting hurt. He worked in the oil field and drove an 18 wheeler for basically all of his life. Lee married his best friend and love, Sissy, on June 1, 2007. He loved spending time with Sissy, his kids and grandkids, and having a good time.

He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Couger; son, Jason Gray; and nephew, Charlie Roberts.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Couger; his loving wife, Sissy; sisters Kay Satterwhite and husband Shayne, and Beverly Thomas and husband Bo; his sons, Josh Couger, Brady Noble and wife Amythist, and Aaron Noble; his daughters, Kathy Couger, Shonna Brunson, Jonni Couger and Katelynn Noble; along with his nephews, niece and multiple grandchildren.

Condolences may be made at meltonkitchens.com.
