Breckenridge Masonic Lodge hosts cornhole tournament to raise funds for charitable projects

On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Breckenridge Masonic Lodge #492 hosted a community cornhole tournament, presented by Ron Hoover RV & Marine and Clear Fork Bank of Breckenridge.
The event, which was held at the Breckenridge City Park Trade Barn, drew 28 competitors and a crowd to enjoy the day and support the local lodge. Ernie’s Spanish Kitchen provided concessions throughout the day.
The tournament featured round-robin matches, which sorted players into two divisions, with competition from both local and regional players.
In the Upper Division, the team of Sam Flores and Oscar Mairena took home first place honors, followed by Leroy Longoria and Mason Vega in second, with David Baladez and Greg Parra finishing third.
In the Lower Division, Leo Rocha and Courtney Villebrun secured first place, with Rob Durham and Glen Scheriger coming in second, and Ira Mendez and Jesse Luna rounding out the top three.
The Breckenridge Masonic Lodge expressed its gratitude to all participants, sponsors and attendees for their support in making the tournament a success. All proceeds will benefit the lodge’s ongoing charitable efforts within the community.
