The National Theatre of Breckenridge’s 2024-25 Performance Series will kick off tomorrow night, Saturday, Oct. 19, with a show by comedian Jonnie W.

The show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., and the doors will open at 6 p.m.

Tickets for the performance will cost $25 for adults (18 and older) and $15 for students (17 and under). Tickets may be purchased online until 3 p.m. Saturday. Click here to purchase tickets online. All online ticket purchases are final and are not eligible for a refund.

Additionally, a limited number of physical tickets will be available to purchase (cash or check only) at Clear Fork Bank in Breckenridge through 3 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 18. Tickets will also be available to purchase at the box office on the night of the event, based on availability.

The first performer in this year’s Performance Series — Jonnie Wethington — aka Jonnie W. — is a Christian, family-friendly stand-up comedian. According to the information on his website, Jonnie W. combines music and off-beat comedy with a skewed view of the world. He has performed in 48 states – from comedy clubs to Fortune 500 companies, churches, and leadership conferences. His comedy is played daily on Sirius XM Satellite Radio, and his latest Drybar Comedy special has garnered over 5 million views. Jonnie lives with his wife, Curry, in Nashville.

Blackhorse will be selling beer and wine in the National Theatre’s bar area on the night of the performance. Attendees must be at least 21 years old to purchase alcoholic beverages, and a valid ID will be required. Bottled water will also be available to purchase.

The National Theatre of Breckenridge is located at 116 E. Walker St. in downtown Breckenridge. It is owned by the Friends of Historic Breckenridge, a nonprofit organization formed in 1995 to support the revitalization and renovation of the downtown district of Breckenridge, to develop an interest in the community’s history, to encourage the restoration of existing buildings to their original architectural facades (relevant to the early history of the city), and to promote pride in Breckenridge.

In January, the performance series will continue with its second annual song swap. This year’s event will feature returning musicians Kyle Fambro and Jared McLane, along with Jess Goodlett and Garrett Bryan.

Then, in February, “New York, New York Dueling Pianos” will come to Breckenridge, and the season will wrap up in April with the Brandon Davis Band. Blackhorse Mercantile & Cafe is returning once again as the Performance Series’ presenting sponsor.

All shows this season will be on Saturdays, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the shows beginning at 7 p.m. Ticket prices will vary from show to show.
