Wanda Ledbetter
Wanda Ledbetter, age 91, of Breckenridge, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, in the Breckenridge Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, at Morehart Mortuary.
Wanda Mae Sanders was born May 22, 1933, in Breckenridge, Texas, to George William Sanders and Addie Bales Sanders. She married Thomas Franklin Ledbetter in Albany on August 31, 1962. Wanda was a hard worker for her entire life, working many jobs throughout the years. She retired in 2015, after working at Wal-Mart in Sweetwater and Abilene for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Addie Sanders; her husband, Thomas Ledbetter; one son, Stanley Ray Boyd; and, one daughter, Connie Lynn Atkins.
Mrs. Ledbetter is survived by four children, David Wayne Bufkin, Carol Dean Ledbetter, Jerry Don Bufkin, and Leslie Joe Boyd; one sister, Billie Stephens; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
