SMH Auxiliary to host BUNCO fundraiser on Sept. 9
The Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary — aka Pink Ladies — will hold their seventh annual BUNCO “Ladies Night Out” fundraiser next month, and tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 12.
“It’s an exciting, fun night, where the ladies of our community come together to visit, play BUNCO, get loud, and win great prizes,” Niki Aldridge, president of the Auxiliary, said in an email. “Everybody that comes and plays walks away with something! You don’t even have to know how to play BUNCO – we’ll teach you!!”
The BUNCO fundraiser will be Monday, Sept. 9, at First Baptist Church’s Family Life Center, 301 S. Rose Ave. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the games will begin at 6:30 p.m. A light dinner, along with water and tea will be served; attendees are encouraged to bring their own snacks.
Tickets cost $30 each and will be on sale at the SMH Gift Shop, located just inside the front doors to the hospital, 200 S. Geneva St., and from any auxiliary member. There will be prizes to win, and the fundraiser will have over 300 grab bags.
In addition to offering individual tickets for sale, the auxiliary also offers sponsorships to businesses and/or individuals. A gold sponsorship is available for a $500 donation and comes with 12 BUNCO game tickets, a large banner with their logo/name on it, and recognition at the venue on game night. A silver sponsorship is available for a $250 donation and comes with six BUNCO game tickets, a small banner with their logo/name on it, and recognition at the venue on game night. The auxiliary will appreciate any donation.
All of the money generated during SMH Auxiliary fundraisers, including from BUNCO game night, is used to benefit the hospital in some way, whether it is used to purchase equipment or supplies for the hospital or to purchase inventory for the Auxiliary’s Gift Shop, Aldridge said. “We also make donations toward various needs in our community, such as the recent ‘Back to School Bash,'” she said.
The SMH Gift Shop is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Individual tickets or sponsorships will be available during those hours.
