Sherry Shack Skinner

Sherry Shack Skinner, 69 of Moran, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Bethel Assembly with Jeff Pleasant officiating. Interment will follow at the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, June 24, at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.
Sherry Bennette Shack was born February 1, 1955, in Breckenridge to Billy Jack Shack and Rena Mae Booth Shack. She grew up in Albany and graduated from Albany High School in 1974. Following graduation, she went on to attend cosmetology school in Abilene. Sherry married Robert Skinner in Albany on August 1, 1980. She worked for her parents at Shack Well Service in the 1980s until moving to Fort Worth, where she worked for Tarrant County Appraisal District. She worked there until she retired in 2014. Sherry loved spending time with her family and taking trips to Ruidoso to watch the horse racing. She traveled to numerous countries with Robert including Scotland, Norway and Singapore. Sherry will be remembered as a great wife, mom and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Rena Mae Shack; and her brothers, Robert and Billy Shack.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Robert Skinner of Moran; her daughter, Amy Skinner Rippy and husband Chris of Washington; her step-son, Joe Skinner and wife Jennifer of Fort Worth; her grandson, Austin Tyler Rippy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
