Portion of CR 294 in western Stephens County to be closed next week for repairs
County Road 294 in western Stephens County will be closed for repairs from Monday through Friday, June 3-7. The closure will begin at the county road’s intersection with U.S. Highway 180 West and continue south for about 1 mile, according to information from Precinct 2 Commissioner Mark McCullough.
Road crews will be replacing a bridge on the county road, which is located west of the “mile long” bridge over Hubbard Creek Lake, as noted on the map above. The road closure is not expected to affect U. S. Highway 180.
“We appreciate your understanding as we invest in our infrastructure,” County Judge Michael Roach posted on the county’s Facebook page. “The inconvenience will be temporary. Please plan to take an alternate route during this period. Thank you for your cooperation!”
