11:04 2024

Closing out the National Theatre of Breckenridge’s 2023-24 Performance Series will be Brett Taylor, along with some of his songwriting friends from Nashville.

The concert is scheduled for Friday, April 26, at the National Theatre, 116 E. Walker St. in downtown Breckenridge.

Taylor is a Texas native and who has lived in Tennessee for more than 15 years. Along with being one-third of the folk group Shadowlands, he also writes songs for other artists in country, folk, and gospel music. His first major label cut was a song called “Hallelujahville,” recorded and performed by Tim McGraw and released in 2020 on the album “Here On Earth.”

The show will consist of a 45-minute set of Taylor and his friends performing original music “in-the-round.” And then, after intermission, Taylor will take the stage with his full band, playing a mix of original songs and a few covers.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7 p.m. Concert sponsor Blackhorse Mercantile & Cafe will be selling wine and beer in the theater’s bar area (must be 21 to drink, valid ID required). Advance-purchase tickets cost $20 for general admission (age 18 and older) and $10 for students (age 17 and younger). If any tickets are still remaining, they will be sold at the door at an increased price. To buy tickets online, click here.

The concert series started last Fall and has featured performances by The Quebe Sisters; Shine; Danny Wright; Kyle Fambro, Jared McLane, Ransom Rhodes and Finis Smith in a singer/songwriter song swap; and Jarrod Morris.
