Jesus Palacios
Jesus Palacios, age 76, of Breckenridge, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Morehart Mortuary.
Jesus Palacios Macias was born December 16, 1947, in Tierra Blanca, Zacatecas, Mexico, to parents, Jose Palacios Puebla and Francisca Macias. On January 25, 1970, he married Maria del Carmen Perez in Tierra Blanca, Zacatecas. They later moved to Tijuana, Baja California, and then to California. In 1997, they decided to move again to Breckenridge. Jesus worked as a wrought iron forge welder and truck driver for many years. He attended Scared Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Jesus was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He loved sports, especially baseball, and was the best runner in his hometown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Manuelita Palacios, Eduardo Palacios and Jose Palacios
Jesus is survived by his wife, Maria del Carmen Palacios; three children, Luis Jesus Palacios, and wife Rosa, Maria Reyes and husband Jesus, and Pati Reyes and husband Oscar; four brothers, Benito Palacios, Juan Palacios, Raul Palacios, and Refugio Palacios; two sisters, Socorro Palacios and Lola Palacios; and seven grandchildren, Luis Arturo Palacios, Luis Jesus Palacios, Jr., Melissa Palacios, Camila Palacios, Chanelle Reyes, Ianelle Reyes, and Gonzalo Palacios.
