The Stephens Memorial Hospital District has recently completed the work of converting a former doctor’s office into a new Specialty Clinic and will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the clinic at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22.

The clinic is located at 203 S. Geneva St., across the street from the hospital.

The Specialty Clinic provides space for visiting specialists to see patients, ensuring greater accessibility for area residents.

“We are excited to have a dedicated clinic for our specialists,” Stephens Memorial Hospital CEO Brian Roland said about the development. “It’s a win-win situation, and we’re thrilled to repurpose the old physician clinic with the help of a grant, while continuing to meet our patients’ needs.”

The building, once known as Dr. Dwight Nichols’ office, had fallen into disrepair due to years of disuse. However, the plant operations team at Stephens Memorial Hospital brought new life to the space, transforming it into a new hub for healthcare services for the community.

“We are very pleased with the renovations of this space,” Business Office Director Chris Curtis said. “It’s a fresh start, and we invite everyone to join us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Come see the transformation firsthand.”
