Brady Tennison, Jr.

Brady Tennison, Jr.

Graveside services for Brady Tennison will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Pearl Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held Friday, February 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Morehart Mortuary.

Brady was born on March 26, 1932, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Brady and Evelyn Tennison. He attended high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and attended Tulsa University. He joined the United States Marine Corp to serve during the Korean War and went on to attend Naval Flight Training school during the same era. He married LaVerle Wilkinson on February 1, 1958, in Pearl, Texas. They lived too many places to list as Brady pursued his career in the banking industry.

Brady was quick-witted, fair and the king of one-liners. He enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, and attending sporting events. He was always ready to share a joke and welcomed all opportunities to share his unique sense of humor. In short, Brady Lee Tennison was fully and unapologetically himself, providing entertainment, love and a special spark to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, LaVerle; and his parents and sister. Brady possessed the gift of being a genuine and authentic person who influenced the lives of family and friends.

Brady is survived by his five children, his sons, Michael Tennison and his wife Tammi of Breckenridge, and Thomas Tennison and his wife Marie of Breckenridge; his daughters, Mary King and her husband Kevin of Breckenridge, Pamela Stayton and her husband Gerald of Austin, and Angela Tennison of Austin; and by his twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Breckenridge Country Club for tree planting on Hole 2 and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
