Sherry Lynn Beard
Sherry Beard, 67, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Her cremation has been entrusted to Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home, and a private family gathering to honor her life will be held in the near future.
Sherry Lynn Lewis was born in Oceanside, California, on November 8, 1956, to Gene Lewis and Barbara Ann Foley. In 1977, she married Danny Beard from Albany, Texas. Soon after, the couple had a daughter, Michelle Danette, better known as “Net-Net.”
Sherry worked as both an optometrist’s assistant and a home health caregiver, the latter of which helped her express her kind-hearted love of helping others in any way that she could. When she wasn’t working, you could find her out dancing, swimming, bowling, riding four-wheelers, listening to her favorite music, or hanging out with her family. One of her most cherished experiences was listening to her daughter sing.
Sherry always had a smile on her face and could laugh at anything. In fact, her favorite saying was, “Keep a smile on your face and a song in your heart.” We love you, momma… go fly high with the angels!
She was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Rogers; brother, Donald “Dondy” Roberson; father, Gene; and husband, Danny Beard.
Sherry is survived by her daughter Michelle Sattler and friend Angie Garcia; mother, Barbara Ann Foley; brother, David Roberson and wife Kay; sister, Renee Bulman and husband Ron; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and her adorable grand-dogs, Sam, Remi, and Charli.
