Clifford Green
Clifford Green, age 78, of Breckenridge, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at his home, surrounded by all his family. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 3, in the Caddo Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday December 2, at Morehart Mortuary.
Clifford Wayne Green was born October 25, 1945, in Lueders, Texas, to Harvey D. Green and Elizabeth Crowson Green. Clifford grew up in Lueders and Seagraves and later moved to Breckenridge in 1962. On January 4, 1983, he married Bessie Lorene Cooper in Sundown. Cliff worked for Del-Mar Petroleum as an oil plant supervisor for many years and later retired from Hanlon Gas. He had a love for cooking and enjoyed listening to the family sing and play guitar. He was always busy tinkering with something and could repair anything. Most of all, PawPaw loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Elizabeth Green; his wife, Lorene Green; and one sister, Patricia Dea Martin.
Mr. Green is survived by his two sons, Ronnie Cooper and wife Nesha, and Kenneth Cooper and wife Dionne, all of Breckenridge; four daughters, Donna Dobbs of Fort Worth, Celly Green and husband Josh Walker of Breckenridge, Tammy Whitfield and husband Darren of Stephenville, and Shelly Jones of Breckenridge; one sister, Linda Kay Stricklin of Kemah; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
