Liquita Winell Perez
Liquita Perez, 61, of Breckenridge, answered her Heavenly call home on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Her memorial service at Gunsight Baptist Church will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, with Patrick Frishe officiating.
Liquita (Winell) Boyd was born in Breckenridge on November 6, 1962, to David Ray Boyd and Nancy Jo (Alexander) Boyd. She grew up in Breckenridge, and on February 10, 1989, she married Armando Perez, Jr. Liquita was a well-loved member of the Breckenridge Independent School District, an employer with whom she spent over 20 years.
When she wasn’t working, Liquita could be found spending time with her family, going camping, taking the grandkids on different vacations, or out on a Wednesday date night with Mando at the lake. But more than anything, one of Liquita’s absolute favorite things was sports — whether it was watching her grandkids play their various sports or supporting her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Texas Rangers!
Liquita was preceded in death by her parents, David and Nancy; stepmother, BJ Boyd; grandson, Blake Hamilton; father-in-law, Armando Perez, Sr.; and brothers-in-law, Keith Wilcher and Roger Perez.
She is survived by her husband of over 34 years, Armando Perez, Jr.; daughter, Tasha Hamilton (Trey); sons, Jason Bussell (Tiffany Wade), Robert Perez (Kayla), and Kolton Perez; brother, Robbie Boyd (Tammy); sister, Devita Wilcher; stepsister, Michelle McNabb; mother-in-law, Sara Perez; and grandkids, Aaron, Garrett, Jayla, Shaday, Julie, and Mia; along with multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members who will forever miss her.
