John Russell Brock, Sr.
John Brock, Sr., age 69, of Breckenridge, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 3, at Rose Avenue Baptist Church with Russell Brock officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
John Russell Brock was born April 28, 1954, in Brunswick, Georgia, to Ernest Brock, Sr., and Ellen Agnes Taylor. He worked as a prison evangelist and security officer. He enjoyed his grandchildren, preaching, fishing, telling stories, and using his “redneck ingenuity.”
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; mother, Ellen; brother, Doug; and sister, Marsha.
Mr. Brock is survived by his children and grandchildren, Renee Brock of Brunswick, Georgia, Russell, Lisa and Justin Brock of Breckenridge, Texas, Robin, Tom, Gavin, Adley Dellavalle of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Aaron Brock of Abilene and AJ, Elizabeth Brock, Savannah, Scarlett of North Carolina, and Audrey, Adam, Hudson, Kammler, and Lincoln Walters of Thayer, Missouri; sisters, Cindy West of Missouri and Laura Benjamin of Brunswick, Georgia; numerous nephews and nieces that he loved very much.
