On July 7, 2023, at the age of 78, Mildred Inez (Boyd) McCullough surrendered her life to her Lord and Savior in Cleburne, Texas. Her graveside service at the Breckenridge Cemetery will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, with Don Bearden officiating. The family will welcome friends for a visitation at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home from 5:00–6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023.

Mildred Inez Boyd was born on January 20, 1945, to Robert Lee Boyd and Cleo Winell Taylor. Mildred is one of ten children. She lived in Breckenridge, Texas, most of her life. She met and fell in love with Jerry Lee McCullough. They got married on August 30, 1960, and had four children. They would have been married for 63 years this year.

Mildred enjoyed staying at home being a homemaker. Mildred loved all her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, RL and Cleo Boyd; brother, Baby Boyd, Mickey Boyd, LC Boyd, David Boyd, and Kenneth Boyd, Sr.; sisters, Edna Poteet and Eva Latham; granddaughter, Emily Diane McCullough; and two great-grandsons, Brantley Cole Cox and Decon McCullough.

Mildred is survived by her husband of over six decades, Jerry Lee McCullough; children, Jerry Dale McCullough of Cleburne, Robert McCullough and wife Jeannie of Cleburne, Vicki Williams of Breckenridge, and Stephen McCullough of Breckenridge; grandson/adopted son, Cody McCullough and wife Monica of Stephenville, Texas; honorary daughter, Delisa Atkinson and husband JT of Florence, Texas; sisters, Samantha Pesch and Vaneta McCullough; five granddaughters; thirteen great-grandchildren, with one on the way; along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial donations in memory of Mildred can be made to Wings Over Texas Hospice and can be left at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Condolences can be left online at meltonkitchens.com.
