Bryan Coday
Bryan Coday, age 66, of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, at The Lighthouse Church with W.C. Roach officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, July 3, at Morehart Mortuary.
Bryan Linn Coday was born December 2, 1956, in Spearville, Kansas, to Ernie Clyde Coday and Elisebeth Ray Bradford. He graduated high school in Protection, Kansas. On November 18, 1978, Bryan married Faye Burrows in Fort Dodge, Kansas. For several years he worked as a nurse and then as a truck driver and heavy machine operator for Slumberger. After moving to Breckenridge, Bryan worked for the City of Breckenridge as a Street Department Supervisor. Bryan was ornery, but was still sweet and kind and had an amazing sense of humor. He enjoyed helping others, and joking around. He was also a great cook and loved to be outdoors fishing. Above all, Bryan loved his family and church family. He was a member of The Lighthouse Church in Breckenridge.
Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Ernie Coday; his mother and step-father, Elisebeth and Kenneth Faulkner; and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Coday of Breckenridge; three children, Heather Uribe of Pampa, Stephanie Mejias of Breckenridge, Nicci Coday of Dodge City, Kansas; one sister, Cherie Freed of Moscow, Kansas; two brothers-in-law, Buddy Burrows and wife Cindy of Washburn, Missouri, and Gary Hoffine of Breckenridge; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
