Violet Daskevich, age 89, of Breckenridge, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 30, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Ranger. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at Morehart Mortuary.

Violet Mae Bledsoe was born September 30, 1933, in Victoria, Texas, to James Cicero Bledsoe and Lillian Inez Willett Bledsoe. She attended Ranger College and earned her degree as a registered nurse. After graduating, she worked at Midland Memorial Hospital for 30 years. Violet moved to Breckenridge in June of 2012 from Midland and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was also a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she was an ombudsman for two years. Violet loved her kids, grandkids and taking care of her beautiful roses in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lillian Bledsoe; two husbands, Charles David Robinson and Joseph William Daskevich; six siblings, James Bledsoe, Jr., Inez Marie Dumith, Virginia Lou Terry, William Leonard Bledsoe, Lougene Bledsoe, and Barbara Ellen Lewis.

Mrs. Daskevich is survived by her four children, Lillian Lucell Evans of White Horse, North Carolina, Charles David Robinson, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Cisco, Constance Shook of Longview, and Phillip Anthony Daskevich and wife Cris of San Antonio; brother-in-law, James Lewis; sister-in-law, Mittie Bledsoe; ten grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
