National Theatre to present Shine in concert June 24

UPDATE: This concert has been canceled due to an illness. We’ll let you know when it’s been rescheduled.

After being closed for renovations for almost a full year, the National Theatre of Breckenridge will bring back live music with a concert by Shine on June 24.

Shine is composed of four musicians with a love for acoustic music. Their repertoire is representative of the players’ varied strengths, including swing, bluegrass and country, but you may hear an oldie or two thrown in for good measure.

Band members include Marlys Coursey (fiddle, vocals), Glenn Mitchell (mandolin, vocals), Jeff Mitchell (bass, vocals), and Dave Ratliff (guitar, vocals). They were last here in 2021, not long before a hail storm damaged the National Theatre’s roof, requiring major renovations throughout the historic theater in downtown Breckenridge.

For the concert on Saturday, June 24, the doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students. Special admission for a family of four (two adults, two kids) is $40, a savings of $10.
