Breckenridge Library’s Spring Book Sale slated for Friday and Saturday; tickets on sale for freezer of beef drawing

The Breckenridge Library will host its annual Spring Book Sale on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29.

The sale will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 28, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29.

The sale will take place at the library, 209 N. Breckenridge Ave., and Book Sale shoppers should enter through the back door of the library during the sale. The library is still accepting donated books for the sale.

The prices will be $1 each for hardback books or $5 to fill a paper bag; $0.25 (25 cents) each for paperback books; $2 each for CD books, DVDs, music CDs; $1 each for puzzles; $0.25 for magazines or $1 for a bundle. There are some collectible books available at varying prices. Bibles will be given away at no charge. Books may be paid for with cash or local checks only.

Additionally, the library is holding a fundraising giveaway. Tickets cost $5 each or five tickets for $20 for a chance to win a 7-cubic feet chest freeze from Hometown Brand Center and a B.E.S.T. Beef Package from Muleshoe Ranch, including roasts, steaks, hamburger meat, ribs and more. Tickets are available at the library or from library board members. The drawing will be held on May 18.
