Robert Z. Salas, age 82, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, Texas surrounded by his loved ones.

The family will host a time of visitation and fellowship at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Recital of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Victor Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Robert was born August 4, 1940, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Francisco Salas and Maria Luisa Zendejas Salas.  He was raised in Coleman, Texas.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Carlos Vazquez, Jr.; two sisters, Frances Alvarado and Mary Escobar; and nine brothers, Phillip, Johnny, Mack, Pete, Alex, Richard, Charles, and Billy Jack.

Robert is survived by his children, Patricia Camarillo and husband Luis of Fort Worth, Jessie Ann Fernandez and husband Mike Wright of Breckenridge, Roberta Vazquez and husband Carlos of Abilene, Robert Salas, Jr. of Abilene, and Linares Lynn Salas of Abilene; one sister, Evelyn Hernandez Calvillo and husband Tony of Coleman; his wife, Rosa Neaves of Breckenridge; his stepchildren, Jesse Neaves, Lisa Neaves, and Maria Herring.

Robert is also survived by his grandchildren, James Ray Escalon, Andres Perales, III, Kristian Perales, Anthony Arriola, Lorenzo Perales, Cassandra Arriola, Christopher Haldeman, Robert Salas, III, Isaac Salas, Alexas Salas, Dominic Salas, Francisco Salas, Micah Salas, Isaiah Vazquez, and Mia Salas; five step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
