Eulalia Waggoner, 84, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away at her residence on Friday, March 17, 2023. Her family will welcome everyone to the funeral home on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. for a gathering of friends to visit and celebrate her life.

Eulalia Cretsinger was born in Pickewick, Texas, on February 20, 1939, to Henry and Elsie Cretsinger. She attended Cedar Creek school and then Breckenridge High School. She met Doyle Waggoner in 1955, and they were soon married. The couple relocated from Breckenridge to Abilene, where they lived for several years before eventually returning to Breckenridge. Eulalia and Doyle owned Waggoner Moving and Storage. The couple was well-known in the community, especially for their ongoing support of multiple youth activities. Eulalia was one of many Breckenridge residents who got to see Elvis perform at the high school auditorium… TWICE!

Eulalia was a wonderful, loving, and giving person whom her family and friends will dearly miss.

Eulalia was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Waggoner; son, Douglas Waggoner; grandsons, Jimbo Adams and Jason Edmison; sister, Marjory Compton; brother, Irvan Cretsinger; great-granddaughter, Kandra Adams; along with three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

She is survived by her daughter, Nikki Ethridge and husband Raymond; son, Les Waggoner; daughter-in-law, Dianna Waggoner; grandson, Christopher Donaho and wife Nicole, along with their three sons: Isaac, Ethan, and Daniel; brother-in-law, Bobby Dan; Tristan Adams, Jayce Adams and Ryder Adams, sons of the late Jimbo Adams; granddaughters, Michelle and Penny; great-granddaughter, Olivia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including one niece and a great-niece, both who were named after her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eulalia’s name can be made to Meals on Wheels and can be left at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Condolences can be made online at meltonkitchens.com.
