Mabeth Mutschler, age 89, of Breckenridge, formerly of Seminole, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 27, in the Gaines County Memorial Cemetery-North in Seminole, Texas, with Jaclyn Morehart officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, February 26, at Morehart Mortuary in Breckenridge.

Gracy Mabeth Graves was born September 16, 1933, in Elida, New Mexico, to parents, Clyde Alec Graves and Ona Pauline Lamb Graves. After graduating high school, she went on to attend Draughon’s Business College. On July 23, 1951, she married Jacob Daniel “J.D.” Mutschler in Portales, New Mexico. Mabeth worked for 26 years as a secretary at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, where she was very active and played the piano. She enjoyed sewing in her free time but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, J.D. Mutschler.

Mrs. Mutschler is survived by her children, Gwyn Israel and Lynn Monroe, both of Abilene, Jan Loggains and husband Mike of Breckenridge, Jerry Mutschler and wife Shelbi of Lubbock; one brother, Eldon Graves and wife Annette of Tuscola; eight grandchildren, Jason Wishert and wife Latisha, Jaime Wishert, Brian Monroe, Jacob Monroe, all of Abilene, Shane Loggains of Houston, Shannon Thompson and husband Jay of Caddo Mills, Haley Lambert and husband Stephen of Woodland Park, Colorado, Kara Bradford and husband Jared of Seminole; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
