O.K. Wills, Jr., 86, of Breckenridge, passed away in Abilene, Texas, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. His graveside service at the Breckenridge Cemetery will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2023, with JB Sparks officiating.

O.K. Wills, Jr., was born to parents O.K. Wills, Sr., and Zetha Lee (Skinner) Wills on February 27, 1936. Mr. Wills enlisted in the U.S. Navy in March of 1954. And on September 23, 1977, he married Martha Wallace. After his time in the Navy, Mr. Wills served as a warehouse manager for Exxon.

“Pops,” as he was known to his grandkids and great-grandkids, was a very modest, humble, and generous man who loved telling stories about his time in the Navy or various past memories and rarely had a conversation without laughing or making someone else laugh. Pops loved drinking coffee from sunrise to bedtime and often could be found on the back patio with Martha enjoying the weather and planning their next yard project. If you couldn’t find him on the patio or in his den watching his favorite TV show, you could find him in his garage tinkering with his newest tool purchase or woodworking project.

Mr. Wills was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Martha Jane Garza.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Martha Ann Wills; daughters, Michelle Drake and Sarah Wills Miller; and sons, Rick Mabry and Steve Mabry; grandchildren, Stephanie Begeman, Kristi Riley, Rusty Mabry, Kyle Mabry, Abby Riley, Pam Recla, Alicia Garza, Gary Drake, Randy Drake, Sherry Mabry, and Lisa Kolb; and great-grandchildren, Chloe, Joss, Dean, Carson, Collier, Aubrie, Carter, Paxton, Bronson, Justin, Macee, McKinzee, Cullen, Kolt, Kason, Kanyon, Brayden, Whitley, Gracie, and Sophia.

Memorial donations in O.K.’s name can be made to an organization or charity of the donor’s choice and can be left at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Condolences can be made online at meltonkitchens.com.
