SCJLS 2023: Providence Ezell, Kadynce Kennedy earn top awards in Cattle Division

The final livestock contest of the 2021 Stephens County Junior Livestock Show was the Cattle Division on Friday evening, Jan. 6.

Don Kelm of Stephenville judged the contest, and Matt Colbert of Lubbock judged the showmanship portion of the competition.

There were eight classes and seven participants.

The results were:

Senior Cattle Showmanship: Providence Ezell
Junior Cattle Showmanship: Kadynce Kennedy
Champion Bred and Born Cattle: Siler Morehart

Breeding Heifers

Class 62 — American Heifers — 1. Providence Ezell
Class 63 — American Heifers – 1. Providence Ezell
Class 64 — English Heifers — 1. Kadynce Kennedy; 2. Krawford Kennedy
Class 65 — Exotic Heifers — 1. Bryce Biddison; 2. Isabelle Biddison
Class 66 — Exotic Heifers — 1. Siler Morehart

Grand Champion Heifer: Kadynce Kennedy
Reserve Champion Heifer: Siler Morehart

Market Steer

Class 67 — Steers-English — 1. Krawford Kennedy; 2. Siler Morehart
Class 68 — Steers-Exotic — 1. Kadynce Kennedy; 2. Kaitlyn Wilson
