Rigoberto Gallegos
Rigoberto Gallegos, age 61 of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Funeral Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, December 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Dias officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 29, at Morehart Mortuary.
Rigoberto Gallegos Gomez was born January 13, 1961, in Mezquital Durango, Mexico, to Pedro Gallegos Berumen and Otilia Gomez Deras Gallegos. He began working as a 6-year-old boy in Mexico, cowboying and working cattle with his parents and family at their ranch. He graduated high school and then went to work in construction, specifically concrete and metal buildings. Rigoberto moved to Breckenridge in 1981 and was employed by Breckenridge Exploration for 34 years. He was a loyal man and hard worker and loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jose Gallegos Gomez and Pedro Gallegos Gomez.
Rigoberto is survived by his three children, Jessica Navarro and husband Shaun, Rigoberto Gallegos, Jr. and wife Lorentina, Fernando Gallegos; four sisters, Maria Guadalupe Gallegos Gomez, Maria de la Luz Gallegos Gomez, Maria del Soccorro Gallegos Gomez and Norma Otilia Gallegos Gomez; two brothers, Gilberto Gallegos Gomez and German Gallegos Gomez; eight grandchildren, Isabella LeeAnn Gallegos, Rigoberto Gallegos III, Florentina Marie Gallegos, Otilia Asusena Gallegos, Aaron Navarro, Aaydan Navarro, Ryder Navarro and Aandi Navarro; and numerous other relatives.
