Judith Johns

Judith Johns, age 82, of Whitesboro, formerly of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 10, at Indian Gap Cemetery in Hamilton County with Johny Garner officiating. Judith will lie in state for viewing by friends and family on Thursday, December 8, and Friday, December 9, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Judith Anne Brannan was born on November 15, 1940, to parents Johny Brannan and Dorothy Anne Cox Brannan in Gorman, Texas. She graduated high school and then went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Abilene Christian College. Judith worked as a music teacher for several years with Breckenridge Independent School District. She was a member of Elliott Street Church of Christ and enjoyed playing piano, teaching piano and taking care of others.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents; one brother-in-law, Robert Garner; and one son, Darin Kimbrough Johns.
She is survived by her son, Eric Johns and wife Angela; one sister, Johnice Garner; daughter-in-law, Karen Johns; grandchildren, Landon Johns and wife Megan, Lance Johns, Jake Catching, Luke Catching; one niece, Robin Hoppes and husband Clint; one nephew, Johny Garner and wife Lindsey; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter Johns, Paisleigh Johns and Marlee Johns.
