The Kody Norris Show, a bluegrass band from Tennessee, will return to Breckenridge on Thursday, Oct. 6, for a performance in Bailey Auditorium, hosted by Word of Life Ministries of Breckenridge. The opening act will be The Hinshaws, a musical family from this area.

Tickets for the show will cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door and may be purchased at Bertie & Olif, 207 W. Walker in Breckenridge, or online at www.ticketleap.com. The doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The Kody Norris Show, which performed in Breckenridge in 2019, includes Kody Norris on guitar, his wife Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris on fiddle, Josiah Tyree on banjo and Charlie Lowman on the bass. In January of this year, Kody Norris was named the Entertainer of the Year and Mary Rachel was named the Fiddle Player of the Year by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America.

After their Breckenridge show, the band will perform at the Big Bend Bluegrass Festival in Alpine.

The last time the Kody Norris Show performed in Breckenridge, it was at the National Theater, but because of the ongoing repairs to the theater due to damage caused by the hail storm earlier this year, this year’s show will be held at Bailey Auditorium on the Breckenridge High School campus, 500 W. Lindsey St.
