Arthur Cecil Robertson, Jr., age 68, of Olden, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 27, in the Necessity Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Morehart Mortuary.
Arthur Cecil Robertson, Jr. was born March 30, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Arthur Cecil “Bud” Robertson and Pauline Wayne Maine. He attended Spruce High School in Dallas and then went to work in the oilfield. On August 17, 1973, he married Joanie Grasham in Mesquite, Texas. He more recently worked as a shop supervisor for SPX. Cecil enjoyed gardening, fishing, being outdoors or just hanging out in his man cave. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Pauline Robertson; two sisters, Rita Mendez and Judy McCloud; one nephew, Christopher Williams; and one niece, Elizabeth Robertson.
He is survived by his wife, Joanie Robertson of Olden; three children, Jennifer Robertson of Olden, Arthur C. Robertson III of Cisco, and Jeffery David Robertson and fiancé Adrienne Hall of Brownwood; one brother, James Robertson and wife Frances of Breckenridge; seven grandchildren, Janie Kennedy, Michael Carrion, Seth Carrion, Jacey Rice, Jessica Rice, Damien Walls, and Fiona Robertson; four great-grandchildren, Aubrey Kennedy, Hazel Carrion, Taylen Stephenson, and Layla Carrion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
