Irene Jeanette McAdams was born on October 30, 1939, in Hillsboro, Texas, to Buck Carl and Delia McAdams. She went to school until the 8th grade. And on November 6, 1954, Irene married Rowe Dean Lee. They raised eight children together and had been married for over 50 years until Rowe’s passing in 2005. Irene was a devoted Christian and a strong woman of faith. She always placed the Lord and her family as the top priorities in her life. She always took care of everyone and loved them unconditionally. She was her family’s world and the backbone of the whole family. Irene was indeed a saint. Nothing will ever be the same without her, but as a family, they will take her legacy of love and carry it forward.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Delia; husband, Rowe Lee; daughter, Rose Rusk; sisters, Margie Collier, Jo Ann Pafford, and Barbara Maroski; brothers, Kenneth McAdams, Curtis McAdams, and Bucky McAdams; son-in-law, Jimmy Keyser; along with a great-grandson, Rowlyn Cash Keyser. Irene is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Keyser, Linda A. Lee, Carla Caraway, and Julie McGuire; sons, Dean Lee, Bennie Lee, and Richard Lee; sister, Brenda Barak; brothers, David McAdams, Earl McAdams, and Edward McAdams; along with ten grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations in Irene’s name can be made to the Stephens County Humane Society and can be left at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Condolences can be made at meltonkitchens.com.
