The United Fund of Breckenridge and United Supermarket are teaming up this weekend to help the local organization reach its 2022 goal.

Through local donations, the United Fund is at 97% of its $18,000 goal for this year.  The organization has  raised $17,460 since our kick off last fall. That leaves just $540 left to raise to meet the goal.

Tanner Taylor, Store Director of United Supermarkets in Breckenridge, said that the grocery store and Coca Cola are donating the ingredients for a hamburger cookout fundraiser on Saturday and Sunday, July 30 and 31. All proceeds from the sales at the cookout, as well as any additional donations, will be donated to the United Fund.

The cookout will be going on during the supermarket’s annual Hatch Chile Fest when the store will be selling freshly roasted green chiles from New Mexico. The fundraiser will include hamburgers, sausage wraps and Coke from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The United Fund is a nonprofit organization that raises money for a variety of local organizations. All of the money raised by the United Fund stays in Stephens County.

This year, the United Fund is supporting the following organizations:
