Breckenridge-Albany Little League team to play in Texas West State Tournament on Wednesday

The Hubbard Creek Rangers, an intermediate Little League All-Stars team combining players from Breckenridge and Albany, will play in the Texas West State Little League Tournament, beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, in Abilene.

The tournament will take place at the Wylie Little League Baseball Fields near Kirby Lake on the south side of Abilene.

The Hubbard Creek Rangers will play the Medina Valley All-Star team. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Lubbock Southwest-Laredo American game, which will be played at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The losers of the Hubbard Creek-Medina game will play the losers of the Lubbock-Laredo game.

7 – Canyon Shirley
10 – Clay Chapman
13 – Slayden Young
19 – Michael Gomez
20 – Zachary Gomez
25 – Aiden Vickers
42 – Tucker Baugh
54 – Brenham Walker

Head coaches are Cory Wimberley and Brad Woodward, and assistant coaches are Turner Baugh and Coby Walker.

The team advanced to the state tournament after winning the Section 2 championship. They won two consecutive games, 19-2 and 20-2, against Southeast Arlington Little League on July 3.
