Patti Franklin, age 72, of Ranger, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 30, at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Otho Noggle officiating. Interment will follow in the Necessity Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at Morehart Mortuary.

Patti Ann Franklin was born November 14, 1949, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Bobby Gene Franklin and Hazel Isabell Parsons Franklin. She worked as a Lieutenant at the Walker Sayle Unit for over 20 years until her retirement. Patti enjoyed gardening and panning for gold. She also liked bees and was in the process of becoming a beekeeper. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Larry Franklin.

Patti is survived by her two sons, Michael Fortenberry and wife Michelle of Ranger, and Robert Freeman of Crandell; one sister, Teresa Frost and husband Claude of Elmgrove; ten grandchildren, Megan, Cooper, Kristin, Savannah, Macey, Makayla, Brittany, Blake, Caleb, Braden; five great-grandchildren; and one uncle, Jack Franklin and wife Mary.
