Maria Mendoza, age 70, of Breckenridge, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m.  Monday, May 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Dias officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Rosary will be recited from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at Morehart Mortuary.

Maria Ester Dorado was born August 23, 1951, in Zacatecas, Mexico, to Andres Dorado and Anna Maria Juarez Dorado. She married Manuel Mendoza in September of 1971 in Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved cooking, shopping, going to garage sales, taking care of her plants and roses and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ubaldo Mendoza; her parents, Andres and Anna Dorado; her granddaughter, Selena Mendoza; and her brothers, Manuel Dorado Juarez, Roberto Dorado Juarez and Horacio Dorado Juarez.

Maria is survived by her husband, Manuel Mendoza; four sons, Isaias Mendoza and wife Korina, Samuel Mendoza and wife Laura, Jose Mendoza and wife Maria, and Moises Mendoza; five siblings, Jesus Dorado Juarez, Soledad Dorado Juarez, Rodolfo Dorado Juarez, Rogelio Dorado Juarez, and Lidia Dorado Juarez; sixteen grandchildren, Maite Roberson and husband Scotty, Isaias Mendoza and wife Stephanie, Maria Corley and husband Autrey, Esmeralda Mendoza, Paola Davis and husband James, Juan Mendoza, Claudia Mendoza and fiancé Griffin Flournoy, Nayeli Mendoza, Miriam Mendoza, Benjamin Mendoza, Diana Mendoza, Jose Mendoza, Alondra Mendoza, Samuel Mendoza, Kayla Mendoza, and Dominik Yael Mendoza; ten great-grandchildren, Chandler Gregg, Jase Davis, Major Roberson, Elijah Mendoza, Isabella Corley, Lucia Corley, Jackson Davis, Mayah Roberson, Valeria Corley, and Marquise Roberson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
