Jana Elizabeth McMillan, age 39, of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at Breckenridge Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Trey McDuff officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, at Morehart Mortuary.

Jana Elizabeth McMillan was born July 14, 1982, in Abilene, Texas, to Jimmie Ruel McMillan and Jan Virginia McCathren McMillan. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 2000 and furthered her education at Texas Tech University. Recently she was employed at Breckenridge Dairy Queen. Jana was a member of New Destination Church and Celebrate Recovery at Bethany Baptist Church. She had a passion for helping people and had recently received her Peer Recovery Coach Certificate. She loved her family and they meant the world to her. She especially was involved with her niece, Aurora and nephews, Zavier and Kade.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie McMillan; and, her grandparents, Jim and Elizabeth McMillan, John and Virginia McCathren Culwell.

Jana is survived by her mother, Jan McMillan of Breckenridge; her sisters, Traci Highfield and husband Brian of Lake Ozark, Missouri, and Jennifer Dawson and husband Kelly of Breckenridge; her aunt, Jo Richardson; her cousins, Loughry Morrison, Jeff Richardson, Jeremy Richardson, Mackey Bevill; and nieces and nephews, Aurora, Zavier, Kade, Sam, Tulsa and Aaron.
