Survivors of Suicide support group to meet Thursday, April 28, in Eastland
Survivors of Suicide (S.O.S.) Support Group, an organization that helps those who have experienced the death of a loved one by suicide, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in Eastland at 201 W. Main St., Suite B.
It is open to anyone in Eastland and Stephens counties, as well as neighboring towns and counties. There is no charge to attend.
S.O.S. is an open bereavement group that welcomes anyone age 18 and older. Those attending may be at any stage of their grieving process and may attend as long as desired.
The group is confidential, and those who attend and what is shared within the group remains in the group and is not shared. It is facilitated by a licensed professional counselor and a seasoned survivor of suicide.
The group’s facilitator is Jordan Shafer, MS, LPC, EMDR Therapist. It is co-facilitated by Darla Duty.
