Fine Arts Center to offer Clay Fish Workshop starting March 12
The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center will offer a Clay Fish Workshop by Bob Swindle, beginning on Saturday, March 12.
Those attending the class will learn to hand-build a clay fish using a variety of tools and texture pieces. Beginners are welcomed, and each piece will be a one-of-a-kind creation.
The class will cost $90 per person and will be open to anyone ages 13 and older. Prepayment is required and may be made via Paypal or by dropping off a check or cash at the BFAC. Spots are limited, so those planning to attend need to register as soon as possible.
In the class, Swindle will teach participants how to build the clay to create each fish, fire the work in a kiln, and paint the work with low-fire glazes. It will be a multi-week process, but Swindle will work with everyone’s schedules to make it easy for each attendee.
The initial set-up and planning meeting will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the BFAC, 207 N. Breckenridge Ave.
