Sue Peacock
Sue Peacock, age 81, of Albany, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, at the Albany Cemetery with Rev. Dannie Lee officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.
Sue Hollen Peacock was born June 17, 1940, in Gorman, Texas, to her parents Samuel Joseph Fonville and Katherine Thurman Fonville. Sue grew up in Breckenridge, Texas. On June 17, 1956, Sue married the love of her life George Louie Peacock. Family was the thing that mattered the most to her. She enjoyed family gatherings with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other relatives. She enjoyed sewing, watching Hallmark movies, gardening, and cooking. According to her grandchildren, she was an “amazing cook.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; one son, Sammy Don Peacock; one daughter-in-law, Leah Peacock; one brother, Joe Fonville; and one sister, Shirley Christian Savage.
Sue is survived by three children, George Peacock, Jr. and wife Rosalia of Burleson, Ricky Peacock and wife Yolanda of Albany, Brenda Jones of Albany; one daughter-in-law, Shayla Peacock; one sister, Joy Lee Brown of Woodson; along with 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
