Breckenridge Library announces fundraiser winners, list of new books

Breckenridge Library has announced the two winners from its Fall Fundraiser, as well as a list of recently added books.

Misty Pugh won a Champion Power Equipment 5,000/4,000-Watt generator with wheel kit, provided by Tractor Supply in Breckenridge. Amy Carter won a $250 grocery gift card provided by the Breckenridge United Supermarket.

“We are very thankful to everyone that graciously bought tickets for our raffle and continue to support our hometown library,” said Heather Schkade, Director of the Breckenridge Library.

The library regularly adds new books to its collection for local residents to check out. Schkade recently announced the following list of new books in the Breckenridge Library:

The Breckenridge Library is located at 209 N. Breckenridge Ave. It offers books, CDs and DVDs for those with library cards to check out.

Library cards for patrons age 18 and older may be obtained by filling out a user agreement in person at the library. Two proofs of current residence (utility bills are preferred) are needed plus a picture ID (Driver’s License preferred). Additionally, parents or guardians may assist their children (age 6-17) in getting a student library card.

The library’s card catalog is online and searchable at the website www.brecklibrary.org.

The library also offers other services, such as computer usage, wifi access, and printer use. Also, the library offers access to OverDrive, an online eBook service.

The Breckenridge Library is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. It is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The computers automatically shut down at 5 p.m.
