Chamber to host Mingle & Jingle, downtown tree lighting on Friday, Nov. 19
Downtown Breckenridge will be bustling with holiday spirit Friday evening as the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Christmas tree lighting and the Mingle and Jingle shopping event.
Businesses participating in Mingle & Jingle will be open extended hours on Friday, Nov. 19, from 5 to 9 p.m. for the holiday shopping event. Several businesses will be holding drawings for gift certificates or other prizes.
At 6:30 p.m. Friday, the lights on the community Christmas tree, located in downtown Breckenridge in Foundation Park at the corner of Walker Street and Breckenridge Avenue, will be turned on.
The Chamber and Party Planet are sponsoring free admission to Party Planet from 5 to 9 p.m. during Mingle and Jingle. Parents can drop the kids off at Party Planet and then go shop at the participating stores.
Additionally, the Breckenridge High School Class of 2026 will be selling street tacos (steak and pork) in the old Beall’s parking lot from 5 p.m. until they run out. The tacos will cost $2 each, and they will be accepting cash only. The money will benefit the Class of 2026’s prom and Project Graduation events.
